I have been researching the benefits of Art Competitions and after talking to a few friends, many of them were contacted by Galleries after publishing their work online; this is the reason why I am posting this blog; in order to mention a few good Art Websites and hopefully find out about new/good ones.
I have also included galleries that any artist should try to get into; being part of the Summer Exhibition in the Royal Academy of Arts is a honour.
This is a new online gallery for emerging artists to share their work to the wider, international community and gain recognition by promoting their art online.
Entry is free and open to people all over the world.
Summer Exhibition – Royal Academy of Arts
The exhibition has been held since 1768 and it is one of the largest and one of the most important open art exhibition in the world. Entry fee: £25 per work.
You can display your artwork free of charge on the online gallery.
Promote two and three dimensional artwork representing the world’s wildlife. Entry fre: £10 per work.
Their main objective is to help photographers from all kinds to expose their work online – Entry fee: $8.
Royal Society of Portrait Painters
Anual exhibition for members and non members of the Royal Society
It allows artists to set-up their websites and broadcast their artwork to viewers with online connection – Fees: $40 for 10 images online. $35 for 5 images submitted via mail, plus $5 for each additional image.
Japanese based Gallery – they host an art competition to recognise the best artists from outside of Japan. Entry fee: $30.
